floral policies

• deposit & booking — a 50% deposit reserves your event date and begins design work. the deposit is non-refundable, and your date isn't held until it's received.
• balance — the remaining balance (including any delivery fee) is due no later than 3 days before your event, paid by secure stripe link. fresh flowers are ordered only after the balance clears. if the balance isn't received by the due date, the order may be treated as cancelled and the deposit retained.
• changes to the order — reasonable adjustments (color balance, fullness) are welcome up to 7 days before the event and may adjust the price; anything requested within 7 days can't be guaranteed, as flowers are ordered in advance. additions are quoted in writing; reductions after booking don't reduce the deposit.
• cancellation & rescheduling — cancel more than 7 days before the event and the deposit is retained but no further balance is owed. cancel within 7 days and the full balance remains due, as fresh product and labor are already committed. one reschedule to a new date within 60 days is always offered at no charge, subject to availability — the deposit transfers with you.

• substitutions — fresh flowers are a natural product, subject to seasonal and market availability. if a specific variety is unavailable, a comparable bloom of equal or greater value is substituted — your agreed color palette and overall style are always preserved, and substantial changes are communicated when reasonably possible.
• delivery & acceptance — delivery is made to your venue (or agreed location) on the event date within a time window agreed in writing, or pieces can be picked up in lockport, il. please ensure venue access at the agreed time and a clean, stable surface for placement. the arrangement is considered accepted upon delivery and placement — any concern should be raised right then, as sakinah blooms isn't responsible for damage, movement, heat wilting, or handling by others after handoff.
• care of fresh florals — fresh pieces are perishable and designed to look their best on your event date; freshness can't be guaranteed beyond 24 hours after delivery. keep pieces cool, out of direct sun, and stems in water where possible — they'll thank you for it.

• photography — sakinah blooms may photograph completed arrangements for portfolio and social media. no client names, faces, or event details are ever shared. you may opt out by written notice before your event, for any reason.
• limitation of liability — sakinah blooms' total liability under any floral order is limited to the amount paid. we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for failures caused by events beyond reasonable control (severe weather, road closures, supplier failure, illness, or similar) — in such cases we make every reasonable effort to fulfill or reschedule, or refund payments for any portion we cannot fulfill.
• the agreement — your signed custom floral order agreement reflects the full agreement for your order and is governed by the laws of the state of illinois. a reply of "i agree" by message, an electronic signature, or payment of the deposit constitutes acceptance.
