By accessing or using sakinahstudio.studio (the "Site") or any services provided by Sakinah Studio LLC ("Sakinah Studio," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or services.
Sakinah Studio is a camcorder rental and professional video editing service based in Illinois, serving the Muslim community across the State of Illinois. We are a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Illinois.

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the State of Illinois to use our services. We currently serve Illinois residents only; we plan to expand to other states as we grow, in shaa Allah. By placing a reservation, you represent that you meet these requirements.
Reservations become confirmed bookings once we send you a written confirmation email and you (1) sign the rental agreement and (2) pay the 50% deposit. Submitting the reservation form alone does not guarantee a booking — we will review and respond within 24 hours, in shaa Allah.
All prices are in U.S. dollars. Founding Couples and Founding Families pricing is honored only through the first 25 total bookings. Prices are subject to change for future bookings but are locked in once a reservation is confirmed.
Illinois sales tax is applied where applicable based on your billing and delivery address.
Cancellation and refund terms are set out in the Rental Agreement. In summary:
Compassionate exceptions may be made at our discretion in cases of serious illness, death in the family, or similar qadrAllah circumstances.
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and the "Sakinah Studio" name and mark — is the property of Sakinah Studio LLC or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
You retain full ownership of all footage captured during your event. By using our editing services, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to edit, process, and store your footage solely for the purpose of delivering your final film. This license terminates when your footage is deleted from our servers (within 30 days of final delivery).
We will never use your footage, images, or likeness in marketing or public-facing content without your explicit written consent.

Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive for excellence, we do not warrant that:
To the maximum extent permitted by Illinois law, Sakinah Studio disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sakinah Studio's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to our services is limited to the total amount you paid for the rental. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to emotional distress, loss of memorable moments, or damage to reputation.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sakinah Studio, its owners, officers, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of our services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party (including privacy rights of third parties who appear in your footage).
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Our Site and services may integrate with third-party services (such as Stripe for payment processing and Google services for email). We are not responsible for the practices or terms of these third-party providers.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to active clients and posted on the Site. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Effective" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
We may suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason we deem necessary to protect our business or other clients. In the event of termination due to our fault, you are entitled to a full refund of any amounts paid for undelivered services.
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, the dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Cook County, Illinois, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may instead bring an individual claim in a small claims court located in Cook County, Illinois, so long as the claim qualifies for that court and remains on an individual (non-class) basis. You and Sakinah Studio waive any right to trial by jury or participation in any class action.
These Terms do not limit any rights you may have under the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act (815 ILCS 505/) or other applicable Illinois consumer protection statutes. If any provision of these Terms conflicts with mandatory provisions of Illinois law protecting consumers, the mandatory provisions shall prevail to the extent of the conflict.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
These Terms, together with the Rental Agreement and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sakinah Studio.
